I’m with my siblings after roaming around the tourist spots in Manila later in the afternoon we plan of having a shopping spree at Greenhills Shopping Center, i like this mall they are selling class A branded shirts, bags, shoes and silver earrings of chanel, that why this is one of my favorite shopping spots in the metro.
After we had done some shopping spree at Greenhills, my sister had a 500 pesos gift certificate of Flapjacks Restaurant courtesy of her credit card bank rewards for free. So later on we’re searching this restaurant at Greenhills Shopping Complex which was later we found it at beside theatre mall, the place i remember was the former bar and restaurant owned by famous singer Pilita Corales, but now it’s being leased by Flapjacks.
Flapjacks is a new concept of Bistro Group of Restaurants, Operator of TGI Friday’s, Italianni’s, Fish & Co. and Outback restaurants. It is known for the famous breakfast, super lunches and great dinners.
Thier specialties are Flapjacks Classic Double Blueberry, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Toffee Banana, Mini Cheeseburgers, Chicken Strips, French Toast Platter, Central Park Classic, Ribeye Goulash, Beef Tapa, Garlic Longganisa, Boneless Bangus Belly, Beef Salpicao and Country Ham.
The food was good and a little bit pricey. If your a group of four you must had a budget of 2,200.oo to 2,500.00 pesos.

I love Subic, coz theres lots of duty free shopping stores, restaurants, the nightlife at pier 1, they maintain the cleanliness, peace and order. Never leave subic without experiencing the adventures of Zoobic Safari and Ocean Adventure.
Zoobic Safari is the only Tiger Safari in the Philippines, a 25 hectare amusement park presenting a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you and your family. Enjoy exotic animals roaming and frolicking in their natural habitat and surroundings of individual planes and native grasslands. This very-well may be the most real thing to a wild animal jungle safari around.
Never leave the country to see the rare kind of white siberian tiger, for the excitement and experience of the full large size Siberian Tigers roaming around and had a close encounter of a 400 pound tiger eating a whole chicken at the top of our Safari Jeep vehicle.
Zoobic Park, a special petting zoo and animal observation area set in a tropical jungle environment. Meander through and Interact with, pet and enjoy displays of a diverse array of animals from many regions of the world. Many of these animals have become acclimated and friendly to human beings and are free and roaming amidst the visitors. You are free to reach-out and pet many of these animals. Here you will find deer, ostriches, albino caribou, a bear, monkeys, an eagle, miniature houses, ducks, bearcats, guinea pigs, ferrets, and much more.
One thing exciting to me is hopping in thier zoobic train, a special train transportation tour to reach each destination, the tiger safari, the tiger close encounters, the savannah and the Animal Muzooeum going to croco loco and aeta’s trail.
To top it all take an photo opportunity of the real tiger for souvenirs…
Entrance Fee for Regular Day is at 395/adult and 295/child (3 to 4ft.). Holiday/Peak Season: October to May 449 adult and 349/child. The park is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily.
Just a few kilometer away from the Zoobic Safari is the famous Ocean Adventure Subic Bay, an Entrance Fee of 500.00 pesos for adults and 400.00 pesos for child. There are three adventure show schedules the Sea Lion Marina Patrol Show at Nautilus Theatre, Dolphin Friends Show at El Capitan Theatre and Walk on the Wild Side at Eco Theatre.
Sea Lion Marine Patrol Show is a very pleasant show, see the south american sea lions do the roll, slide, clap, dance and scream so much tricks and talent this sea lion can do. Showtime at 10:30 am 2:15 pm and 5:30 pm
Walk on the wildside is thier newest animal show, it features wildlife of the forest. The show begins with a demonstration by the local indigenous Aetas and their ingenious use of one simple plant, bamboo. They demonstrate their amazing ability to build and light a fire without matches, and to create a variety of utensils and tools from bamboo. Walk on the Wild Side then transports guests into the forest at night, where we explore the sights of sounds of the deep dark forest. On our “walk” we meet a variety of birds, bats, mammals, and reptile, In which you will be surprised they left a snake inside a bag to the audience be careful and be aware it. Showtime at 11:30 am and 3:45 pm
Dolphin Friend Show is the ocean adventure main attraction i enjoy and learned these facinating dolphins and a false killer whale shark doing their grace, agility, power, and intelligence. The presentation is packed with action, smiles, interesting information, and an important conservation message. Showtime at 12:30 pm and 4:45 pm
After this adventure show we take a photo opportunity, visit the aquarium, shop at the ocean park souvenir shop. It’s a nice enjoyable experience.

My sister called and want me to attend a GACPA convention in subic, all of my friends from different agencies are so excited to attend the event, so i had no choice but to make an approved authority of travel and signed it to our director and attend the convention, besides most of my friends and are not interested in the convention but the adventures and experiences of what subic has to offer on it’s tourist…
From davao to manila, march is the best way to travel by plane since the weather is hot and humid our plane ride is smooth via Philippine Airlines Airbus 340. In manila, Hop on the bus in victory liner terminal in pasay, lookin for the sign Olongapo, bus fare from Pasay to Olongapo is at 210 pesos plus a 5 pesos malayan insurance…
We travelled for 3 hours, it’s wednesday traffic in Edsa was good, the bus leaves pasay via Edsa to NCLEX (North Luzon Expressway) where speed limit is 100 kph, then exited to San Fernando Pampanga, stop over at Lubao, Pampanga and an hour later were at Olongapo City.
Subic is part of Olongapo, Its a former United States Naval Base, until the Senate of the Philippines rejected the extension of the treaty in 1992. The Departure of US Naval forces promting Olongapo City downed thier economy since most of thier business depends on the thousand of US Citizens in the area. In order to keep the City alive president Ramos created Subic a special freeport zone, it was named Subic Bay Freeport Zone, so companies are free to invest without much taxes burden in thier hands.. so this keep subic bay and olongapo city booming these days.
Upon entering the gates of subic i notice there’s none public utility vehicles running around like the jeepney, tricycle or the yellow plated taxi’s sedans, What they allowed is the accredited service transport AUV’s like the Toyota Revo’s, Innova, Avanza, Mitsubishi Adventure, and Isuzu Crosswind. They had also Vans and Buses. A fixed fare of the AUV’s is at 60 to 70 pesos going to the convention center or at Duty Free PX Stores.
On the first day of the convention is our pre registration, we take time to take some photo opportunities at the venue, The Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, the place is huge, it can accomodate almost 10,000 people in two area phases in auditorium style. The delegates of GACPA Convention has reached 3,600 and only the first phase of the area is occupied with decent tables and chairs so the delegates can eat and sit comfortably.
A visit to subic isn’t complete if you won’t visit thier famous tourist attraction the Zoobic Safari and the Ocean Adventure. You must hire an AUV accredited transport it takes a half day going to these two great attractions and back to convention center at a contract price of 1,000 pesos. It’s better to gather a group of friends to share the fare with. As a front passenger i buckle up and off we go… I notice the driver observed and implementing the speed limit and laws driving in subic it’s like in america, no traffic, dicipline drivers i hail to that for a safe ride.
