Antonio’s Bar and Grill, SM City Davao

It’s lunchtime and we are malling at one of the most famous mall in Davao, SM City Davao, while deciding were to have lunch in a raw of different restaurants, we decided to  choose Antonio’s Bar and Grill Restaurant. It’s one of my favorite restaurants coz they serve good Filipino Dishes, this restaurant is owned locally, it has 2 branches in davao, the other branch located in Metrolifestyle Complex, Jacinto Ext. corner Torres St., Davao City.

The Menu Book

Upon stepping in the restaurant, it was stylish, a bistro like atmosphere, nice and comfortable chairs and tables, the waiter and waitress are hospitable and quick when we call them. We are suprised in the menu that they also served chinese foods and we love to have a try. Here are few of what we had ordered.

The Bird Nest Soup

The bird nest soup – It tasted good, it’s just a typical bird nest soup with a twist. Not so sour and not so salty.

The Calamares

The Calameres – It’s a slice squid rolled with some flour and bread cramps and fried it on cooking oil, actually this one tasted good, it melts in your mouth.

Steamed Lapu-Lapu Fish

The Steamed Lapu-Lapu with separate sweet and sour sauce – In fairness thier sauce is good, we prefer to separate it coz we think that the sauce is so sweet but we’re maybe wrong.

Patatim

The Patatim – One of the best seller of antonio’s and i love it.

Lovely meal at Antonio's

We enjoyed a nice and lovely meal at Antonio’s, can’t wait next time to dine and taste their wonderful more Filipino delicacies.

This place is pathetic. My wife and I ordered crispy pata, and it arrived as soggy pata. It was cold, mushy, creasy and didn’t even look good. My wife told the waiter that it wasn’t crispy, and he took it and about two minutes later brought the same mess back. It was like warmed over, and I told the waiter that it wasn’t crispy, and he ignored me. It blows my mind that these people would serve food like that and unreal how they don’t care. Iv’e had better food on the street, and at squatter camps. Even Burgermachine would be a better choice!
